The significance of names - and their political impact

There was a time not so long ago, when the name ‘Ram’ was the cause of heck of lot of commotion and confusion which had political ramifications (no pun intended) and fall-outs in India.  In early nineties, I remember anything or anyone with name ‘Ram’ in them seems to have had the seed of trouble in them.  To recall a few, we had -
  • the Ram Mandir demolition in 1992,
  • the Justice V. Ramaswami impeachment in 1993,
  • controversy in appointment of the Chief Of Naval Staff Admiral L. Ramdas, earlier in 1990,
  • revolt in the Congress party led by Sitaram Kesari around 1996, which ultimately led to Mrs. Gandhi taking over.
Now it seems that anything with ‘Raja’ in the name is potentially troublesome.
  • first we had the former Telecom Minister A. Raja who has been accused of corruption in the 2G Spectrum allotments;
  • then we had the (allegedly forged) sex tapes of the god man Nityananda, the alleged usurping of the wealthy Madurai mutt by him and a sex controversy once again - in case you  aren’t aware, Nityananda was born as Rajasekaran;
  • the latest is the suspension of VRS Natarajan, the Chief of BEML, on charges of trying to ‘influence’ the on-going corruption investigation; and,
  • there is always the Air India Maharaja who has always had pilot trouble, but is now mired in a reusable/cannibalised parts controversy [http://businesstoday.intoday.in/story/scrapped-a320-planes-spark-row-in-air-india/1/184507.html].
Everyone of them with ‘raja’ in their names.

So, does anyone knows any more rajas with potential troublesome capabilities?
