Political Observer for next 70 days till 16 May

Here it goes, that this blog goes into Political Observer mode. And would be much relief to people who hold different political views from my own – my own that of Centre (leaning left) – that from today, (should have been actually from yesterday after Election Commission announced TN State Assembly Elections 2016). no more political snapshots.

There is much to say on the current affairs of the nation and those of my home state of Tamil Nadu, but all that have to wait for 70 more days.  Starting from tomorrow will start a series of political observations and analysis, without fear or favour, and we will see whether the analysis comes right or wrong.

A warning though.  Both my election predictions of last 2 elections – Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, and the General Elections 2014 were horribly wrong.  Time to see whether I can get it right this time around.

For a start, God Willing, I plan to start with the basics of analysis, the current party positions, available options, and a statistical analysis, which might (I say might, once again, with emphasis) point the way towards the final winner of the Fort St. George, of erstwhile Madras, Now Chennai.

For today, let us just enjoy the peace & quiet, before the horseplay begins.
