Boeing 777 crash lands on 7/7 at San Francisco

A Boeing 777 aircraft belonging to Air Asiana crash-landed at San Francisco airport today killing two people.  Most of the 307 people on board were injured, 49 of them seriously and 5 people are in critical condition at San Francisco General Hospital.

Though all the passengers have been accounted for, 181 people were taken to hospital out of the 291 passengers and 16 crew on board the Air Asiana airplane.

Nationalities on board included 141 Chinese, 77 South Koreans and 61 US citizens, including 3 of Indian origin, as per reports.  The 2 who died have been identified as Chinese teenagers seated at the rear of the aircraft and presumably died when the tail section broke off.

The plane came down short of the runway, ripping off its tail, after apparently hitting a sea wall.
Here is a simulation captured from CNN of the crash landing.

My curious half wonders, ‘A Boeing 777 aircraft crash landed on 7/7 !?!’
