Watch Meenakshi Lehki make a fool of herself

Right now, at 22:22 IST, there is a discussion on Times Now TV on the appropriateness of Lalit Bhanot and other alleged crooks in the Commonwealth Games scandal contesting the Indian Olympic Association elections.

I am not going to take sides.  Personally my belief is anyone even with a whiff of scandal should stay away from an election.  Personally, my even stronger belief is that people in elected offices (and their relatives like Robert Vadra) should practice moral propriety and integrity.

Thus to my mind the alleged misdeeds of Kalmadi & cohorts are as good (actually as bad) as that alleged of Nitin Gadkari, the BJP chief and even worse of Narendra Modi.

So watch Meenakshi Lehki trying to tell us that all these are different from each other.

Just because FIR is not filed, or someone of his own party or organisation gives a good chit, doesn’t make him or her an innocent.  Granted that under the Common English law which we follow, every person is considered innocent till he is proved guilty in a court of law.

Taking it further, Ajmal Kasab *was* innocent till he was proved guilty in Indian courts of Mumbai terror attack.

So watch Meenakshi Lehki make a fool of herself.  (What do people do to themselves in the name of party ideology).
:-P

Update:  Arnab Goswami wrapped it up with 'Tell us how comfortable you will feel if Lalit Bhanot or his cohorts get elected in IOA elections'.

My reaction is that we (meaning me) will feel as comfortable when we see Nitin Gadkari continuing as BJP chief.

The following cartoon is also an update and is from the front page of Thuglak.com of which Cho Ramasami, a BJP sympathizer is the editor.
