US Elections: Republican House versus Democratic Senate

Now that the networks have gone ahead and declared the Election for President Obama, are we all in for another 4 years of bitchin, delay tactics, and obfuscation?  And if Mitt Romney polls more popular votes than Barack Obama, which looks probable, the GOP might try to twist it around as a non-mandate for Obama.
The Republicans would probably use this 4 years in further attempts to stymie the President from carrying out his agenda.  If President Obama acts as wimpy as he has been in the last 4 years, it is going to be difficult for all of us - Americans and Indians.  Maybe in less time for Americans, as Democrats might well lose control of the Senate too half way through.

But with a majority in the House of Representatives and the ‘difficult’ Boehner as GOP House Majority leader, I can’t see how the President plans to push through his vision.  Already Boehner is popping off ‘the mandate as not for raising taxes’.

This is how the US Senate and the US House of Representatives are looking right now - at ~10:15 a.m. IST.
