My Blood Pressure is 190/120 - Oh WOW!

Last Saturday late in the evening, I noticed a swelling or puffiness on one side of the face - my left side.  Though I was on an IT (Info-Tech, not Income Tax) trouble shooting over the most part of that day, no one had commented on (noticed) it.

The reason I noticed it was because of the invitation to watch the latest James Bond movie Skyfall, but more on the movie in another article.  In the movie Daniel Craig appears with such flat (hollow) cheeks, after the movie it made me take a close look at my own face.

Whoever holds that movies are only an entertainment, and doesn’t provide any value needs to take heed.
:-)

After observing it for a day (and a night), today morning I went to my doctor.  I was most worried over the last 2 days about the dreaded 6 letter word ‘Cancer’.

After examining the oral cavities and the glands the doctor’s proclamation is not of that life threatening disease.

Thank God!

But the diagnosis is of possible problems with the pump or the sponges - yeah, the heart or the kidneys.  Because my blood pressure reading was 190/120.  And the definite diagnosis that it is stress.

I can well believe it - the stress, I mean.  Over the last few months, and especially over the last month has been stressful for personal reasons.  People close to me would know why.  Let me leave it at that.

It is still not so bad, I mean I haven't crocked yet (LOL), but still in fine shape to climb 4 floors to my apartment - 6 times today, which doesn't have a lift.

So, tomorrow is the series of tests to determine the actual reason for the symptoms.  I wish and hope that it is just lack of sleep that is causing this problem.   As readers would know, over the last couple of months (or more), I’ve been working the blog, practically every day, late into the night.

As is my wont, I get up early, leaving me with barely 5 hours of sleep a day.  If we add the personal stress factor, it is a definite recipe for unhealthy symptoms.  Speaking of which, it is 10 p.m. and I’m still blogging and the dinner is getting cold.
:-P

Please wish me, (and if you are that type, pray for me) that the results tomorrow do not point to a major problem with the pump or the sponges.  I would be eternally grateful.

For the moment, enjoy this cartoon.
