LeT terrorist hanged but LTTE still free

Ajmal Kasab the LeT terrorist who was part of the terror team which attacked Mumbai on 26/11/2008, has been put to death by hanging at 07:30 a.m. today.  Good for the President Pranab Mukherjee.  It is definitely satisfying to hear that the Mumbai attacks gunman Ajmal Kasab has been executed.

Already the media is hailing the resolve of the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, as though he has completely stamped out all the terrorists from our homeland - just because he as the President consented to put Ajmal Kasab to death.

But at the same time, it would be interesting to see how studious is resolve of the President of India when it comes to hanging the other terrorists and convicts sentenced to death.

There is:
  • Afzal Guru who has been convicted and sentenced to death for the terror attack on the Parliament of India;
  • Perarivalan, Murugan and Santhan of the LTTE, convicted and sentenced to death for the terror attack which killed the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and (at least 14 others);
  • Nedunchezhian, Ravindran and Muniappan, convicted and sentenced to death for burning 3 women college students to death in the Dharmapuri bus burning case,
to name just a few, who deserve the same fate as Ajmal Kasab.

So will the President of India show the same strength and resolve in putting these sons of worthy mothers to death?

Or will he back off fearing an imaginary political fallout in Kashmir and Tamil Nadu?

Personally, I wish the President had ordered, yes ordered, death to all on the death row on the same day.

It would have been a fine day if Ajmal Kasab, Afzal Guru, Perarivalan, Murugan, Santhan, Nedunchezhian, Ravindran, Muniappan and all others had been executed today every 15 minutes starting at say 05:30 a.m.

Looking at it from another point of view, if a girl can be arrested and released on Rs. 15,000/- bail for like a Facebook comment, why can’t we execute all the death row inmates convicted under due process of law?
