Can anyone invite me to Pinterest?

update:  Pinterest have been kind enough to invite me to join today -Tuesday (28 Feb 2012).  Thanks to everyone who expressed their desire to help me out.  Really great to have such a concerned response.

update 2:  Pinterest is now open to all.

I hope by now you’ve heard of Pinterest - a pin board style social networking site.  Instead of a words based social networking where making fun of each other is the order of the business, this photo sharing social networking site aims for users to share with photos with each other.

Now you might ask what are you going to do with an image?  Remember the old adage - a picture is worth a thousand words?  This site takes it to a new level.  Users finding an interesting photo or an image, either on the web or their own production, ‘pin’ or share it with other users.  That is how the site works.
So what you may ask.

In December 2011, Pinterest entered the top 10 social networks, according to Hitwise data, with 11 million total visits per week.

In January 2012, Pinterest drove more referral traffic to retailers than LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google+.

In January 2012, comScore reported Pinterest had 11.7 million unique users, making it the fastest site in history to break through the 10 million unique visitor mark.

With such credentials, it is any wonder I want to get in on Pinterest?  The only problem is that Pinterest is still in open beta and membership is by invitation only.  As of now, I don’t know of anyone who has a Pinterest account.

Hence, this post and a request.  If you have a Pinterest account or if you know of anyone, can you manage an invite for me?  If you can, please send the invite to - email address deleted after update above.

Look at that!  Isn’t it great that people are using Pinterest to promote their products?  Even big companies are on Pinterest.  And small businesses too, apart from bloggers.

My Puzzled half prattles, ‘how do I promote a multifaceted blog like mine in Pinterest?  Perhaps I should snap photos and write more about my cockatiels and kitchen garden plants.’
