RIP Jayalalithaa – short biography

People may talk of Margaret Thatcher but in my life, I have seen only two bold women politicians who could take the odds, shake it around, bend it to her will, and succeed against all expectations.  One was Indira Gandhi, and after her, Jayalalithaa Jayaram, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu who passed away yesterday.

Even Indira Gandhi had not faced as much difficulties, and setbacks as Jayalalithaa had.  Here is a short summary of her biography.  Remember she ascended to become the queen of South Indian films during her acting career between 1961-1980.  She entered politics in 1982.
