The auspicious day of Pillayar Chaturthi or Ganesh Chaturthi (பிள்ளையார் சதுர்த்தி, விநாயகர் சதுர்த்தி) is on 9th September 2013. So here is the Pillayar Chaturthi pooja procedure in Tamil.
Last year we had an article on how to make a Ganpathi idol out of clay at home - DIY. We had also posted the Ganesh Chaturthi pooja vidhi - procedure in Tamil for people who are away from home.
So, this year too, the Pillayar Chaturthi pooja vidhi - procedure is full and complete - from achamanam till samarpanam is posted here as a PDF file (~250 KB). Just like we had for Avani Avittam, fill the form and pop the laddu.
The only request to anyone who uses the puja vidhi is to avoid using flowers and decorations made of paper, plastic and paints. Please use only natural flowers, fruits and clay, for the Pillyar Chaturthi puja.
The Ganesh Chaturthi puja vidhi is complete by itself and there should be no need to refer to another book - except for the Ganesh Asthotranamavali, if you want to recite it.
The Ganesh Chaturthi 2013 Puja vidhi in Tamil assumes that Pooja will be done on 09 Sep 2013 between 09:00 and 10:30 IST. If not please amend Sankalpam as follows:

Unfortunately trying to totally going smart by using an EPUB file did not work out. Since the pooja procedure has some old lines typed in TSCMylai font, they don’t show up good on my 2.3.6 Gingerbread Android.

ReplyDeleteHi, If you are getting 502 error, it is a Google's (temporary) problem - I too am getting same, cannot access my own documents. Only solution is to try after some time. :-/
