Google April Fools’ Day Jokes continue

The Google’s April Fools’ gags continues to roll out.  After the Treasure Hunt on Google Maps, YouTube Shutdown, +Emotion in Google+ and Google Nose (you can read them here), here are the Gmail Blue and Google Fiber Poles.

Google Fiber to the Poles
This one is a great gag, not just for the overall marketing but for the idea.  People would want this type of connectivity and readily jump at it.  Google’s engineers have supposedly rolled out their Google Fiber Gigabit connection to the electricity poles for easy connectivity.  The Fiber to the Poles homepage (fiber.google.com/about/poles/) even offers to ‘Find a Pole near you’.

Go on!  Try it out!!

Gmail Blue
The Gmail Blue was unveiled about 1/2-hour ago.  To celebrate 9th birth anniversary of Gmail (?), Google pushes out the next big step for Gmail.  In Gmail Blue, everything is blue - from letters, buttons to even photos.  As they claim, it surely is awesome.  Google Blue is at gmail.com/blue.
