Nine Nights to collect Nine Dolls - doll 1

If that sounds like bad pickup line - it is not.  For the dolls I’m talking about are there to be admired.  The whole purpose of their existence, in a matter of speaking, is to display themselves, be admired, photographed and collected.
:-D

The dolls I am talking about are actual dolls - not the real life ones.  The Nine Nights to collect Nine Dolls is my way of presenting 9 different doll display or as is called golu in Chennai.

Here is the first one: A simple but elegant one which displays also displays the art of photography.

Such a beautiful collection and a fantastic display.
Look at the contrast between the dolls on the golu step on top and the one in the bottom. The blue spread at the bottom enhances the display as does the dark background.

Aren’t the figurines more crisper in the bottom 2 shelves rather than the top one?  Now we know why photographers prefer a darker background to provide contrast.

My own tip is to put some serial lights and spread them around on the lower steps to provide an even better effect - especially if the serial lights are not hung on top of the shelves but dropped on the foot of the shelves to light the figurines from below.

So, there you have doll-1.
