Here is the doll I collected on this second night of Navrathri at Chennai. Chennai doesn’t have the tradition of Garba as in Gujarat - thank goodness - I don’t know whether I would be able to keep up with the girls in the dandiya dance.
This again is a simple but elegant display of the dolls. Though one might say that they are too crowded. Understandable since the land mafia has made properties in Chennai so profitable and pricey.
Perhaps the old woman and man felt that the Devi too should feel the squeeze.
