If 2 drinks makes you an Einstein, will 7 make you a Senna?

Of all the things I’ve heard this takes the cake - or a drink - to be more appropriate.  University of Illinois researchers put a group of 40 healthy young men to a test.  They gave half of them the equivalent of 2 pints of beer and made all of them take brain teasers.

In the end they found the tipplers solved more  problems and were also quicker in solving them than the sober ones [http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2127996/Make-double-How-alcoholic-drink-sharpen-mind.html?].

Wait till the news leaks back to my home state, where the state government practically survives on liquor sales.  To be fair it is not the only state to do so or it is not a recent phenomenon.

According to this article, in 2000 [http://www.thehindubusinessline.in/2000/06/02/stories/040244ju.htm], all the states of India combined together earned about Rs. 16,000 crores from liquor sales.  But the problem is that consumption of alcohol is getting out of hand.

My home state, Tamil Nadu, alone collects almost as much revenue in a single year today [http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/industry-and-economy/article2436636.ece].

Be it may, I could have told the researchers that alcohol turns one into a quick thinker.  2 pints of beer does make me think faster - within half-an-hour of having them I would start to think it is bedtime and nod off.

As to the other part of the headline whether 7 beers will make you a Senna, it will.  After 7 beers driving anything including a bicycle will turn you into Ayrton Senna on that fateful day - May 1, 1994.

As for me, it won’t.  As mentioned earlier,  2 beers make me sleepy and there is no way I’ll have 7.
