Belarc Advisor 8.2g has been released

Belarc Advisor 8.2g incorporating the Microsoft security bulletin summary MS-dec11 of 29 Dec 2011 has been released.  If your PC is not set to Update automatically, you need to run Belarc Advisor to find out about the hotfixes necessary to patch the OS.

Even if the Auto update feature is enabled, it is better to cross check with Belarc Advisor or other such hotfix checkers.  And this time, it did show one hotfix missing, unlike the last time with 8.2f.

Mind you, this set of hotfixes also includes Critical, Important or Moderate patches for MS Office Suite for Macs too!  The list of KB which relate to Windows XP Pro 32 bit version is:
  • KB2618451
  • KB2619339
  • KB2620712
  • KB2624667
  • KB2626416
  • KB2633171
  • KB2639417
Again, please keep in mind that my listing details only the bare OS, and does not include hotfixes for IE, .NET or MS Office Suite.

My Lazy half laments, ‘Which reminds me that I haven’t updated the easy patch file XPonlyOS'.  Sheesh!’
