Why not public AdSense code for Red Cross or Salvation Army?

My second attempt to get enrolled into Google AdSense programme failed;  the reason given for the rejection this time is a bit more agreeable - ‘difficult site navigation’ - than the one in July 2010.  Back then Google did not approve my application stating ‘unacceptable site content’ (?!?)

Actually, after the July 2010, I was in a sulk and wanted to keep this blog on without any AdSense.  But a very close guy, ‘zombie’ had started pestering me over the last couple of months to use his AdSense code in the blog and thus enrich his coffers till Google deems ‘mad.madrasi’ worthy of AdSense.

That is the reason I swallowed my pride and attempted to enrol once again, after an year and half.  Since it failed and seeing it is that time of the year (Xmas and Gifts), I have decided to place ads on behalf of zombie and make him a millionaire.

Jokes apart, this sent me thinking -

Why are there no AdSense account codes publicly available for renowned charity organisations like
  • the Red Cross,
  • the Salvation Army,
  • UNICEF,
  • WWF (that’s World Wildlife Fund not where Punk fights Goldust), or
  • CRY
and others like them?

Everyone of them ask for your money (donate) right there in their home page.  It is not that they have tons of moolah and are not on the look out for pennies here and rupees there, unlike the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which does not need any!

Suppose these needy charities had their own AdSense code, would it not be easy for people-on-the-net to contribute their 2-bits (no pun intended) by inserting these ‘charity’ codes in their blogs, sites, videos, feeds, et. al., either permanently or during the season of giving like Christmas or Deepavali?

Would Google think about it?  Would these organisations wake up and request Google and/or other advertisers to allot them one for this purpose?

Does my idea have merit or is it trash?

My Admiring half admits, ‘Look at the face of the Mareep and at the Cyndaquil - just love those expressions.  Great job @fr33z3dry!’
