If at first no new posts, view, view again

It appears that visitors (whatever few that I have) expect a daily dose of insensitive, starling, in-the-face posts.  When they find there are no new posts, they wander taking a look at past posts.

Nothing else would explain a consistently high number of page views over the last week.  Admittedly it is not Google Analytics or Alexa which would give a unique visitor count, but for poor (in audience) bloggers like me, the Blogger stats does just fine to give a boost at the end of a tiring day.
:-D

Due to the problems recounted in When you commandeer another’s PC, I wasn’t able to post between 10th and 17th of this month and was prepared to face the possibility of trickled down single digit page views.

To my delight, the page view count did not go down, and on 14th there were a whopping 188 page views.  Really made me cross-check whether I was at the correct monkeyshine nutworks.

What it has done is to cement my resolve to actually read the ‘English Grammar for Dummies’, bought from a Flora Fountain roadside bookshop back in 2003 and left unopened.  Within 5 minutes of picking up the book, I usually float away to la-la land.
