India promptly fell in love with Pugs after a series of advertisements by Hutch Telecom for their Mobile services, circa 2005-07. One of the last was this ad, when Hutch became Vodaphone.

Price of Pug puppies shot up from around Rs. 4000/- to more than Rs. 20,000/- when the ads were the rage. Now, there are reports that a Jack Russell terrier has scared a mountain lion up the tree.
