Satellite eye on Earth from the Guardian, UK

A series of stunning pictures in Guardian UK, from ESA/NASA.  Gives you a different perspective on Earth, it does from the marching desert sands in Mongolia to smoke free Iceland. A a look at the 2 best for me.

Sunset over Indian Ocean, shows curvature of Earth and different layers of atmosphere.  Orange and Yellow is Troposphere, Pink and White is Stratosphere and the Blue to Black fading is Ionosphere.

Photo like image stitch shows dust from Sahara blown across the Atlantic to the Amazon – about 40m tonnes every year, by super storms like these. Didn’t know that!
